Event Details

We're honored to welcome Amaris Gibson to present a talk titled "Beyond Disparities: Black Maternal and Infant Mental Health Through a Relational & Systems-Informed Lens."

This conversation will take us into the lived experiences of Black mothers, infants, and families across the perinatal period, exploring Black maternal and infant mental health through a culturally responsive, relational, and systems-informed lens.

Together, we'll examine how historical and contemporary forces shape care, outcomes, and trust. We'll also look honestly at maternal mortality disparities here in South Carolina and the preventable gaps in care, communication, and support that affect both maternal well-being and the early relational health between caregivers and infants.
This is a conversation rooted in truth, held in community, and oriented toward change. We hope you'll be part of it. Click below to save your seat.

And as always, our Third Thursday presentations are free and virtual!
