Call to Action: Public Hearing for Dominion Rate Hike on May 12

Dominion Energy South Carolina has asked the South Carolina Public Service Commission (PSC) for a general rate increase starting as soon as July 2026 of 12.73%. For a “typical” household using 1,000 kWh a month — about $20 more every month, or $240 a year.

The PSC is doing public hearings to hear from you. Several hearings have already taken place. There will be one central one in Columbia on May 12.

We are encouraging everyone who can participate to lend their voice the discussion on this major price increase. Here are currently three ways you can do so:

• MAIL feedback to 101 Executive Center Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29210, OR;
• ATTEND the hearing at either of the two sessions on May 12th
  Morning session: 10 AM –12 PM
  Evening session: 5 PM – 9:00 PM
