CHW Advocacy Day 2026

SCCHWA's Annual CHW Advocacy Day will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

The 2026 CHW Legislative Day Activities Challenge is officially here!
This is your chance to advocate for our profession, connect with lawmakers, and stack up points for a chance to win big. Whether you’re hitting the halls of the State House in person or advocating from your desk, there’s a prize category for everyone.

The Prizes 

In-Person Powerhouse (register here): Most points for on-site advocacy = $100

Virtual Vanguard: Most points for digital advocacy = $50

Action Heroes: Random drawings for completed tasks = $25

How to Earn Points 

Ready to climb the leaderboard? Complete the following actions, then record and submit your Challenge Form to enter:

• Find Your Legislators: Identify your House and Senate representative = 1point each

• Identify your House District & Senate District = 5 points each

• Send Emails: Tell your story and share why CHW support matters = 1 point each

• Make Phone Calls: Let your voice be heard directly at the Capitol = 5 points each

• Meet Your Legislators: April 1st or Make an Appointment = 25 points each

• The Follow-Up: Send a "Thank You" to keep the conversation going = 10 points each

• State vs. Federal:
  The challenge focuses on your South Carolina State House Legislators. Identifying the Federal rather than State = minus 25 points
