Are you an active CHW ready to expand your knowledge and make a bigger impact on your community? The PREFER CHW Training Program is your chance to gain valuable skills in genetics and learn how to support your community in accessing genetic clinical services and research.

Below are key details about the course:

Start of Course: Week of April 15
End of Course: Week of June 15
You will be compensated $200 upon completion of the course
You will be asked to provide responses to a pre-course survey and a post-course survey. After the survey, you will have the opportunity to participate in a virtual interview. You will receive $25 for completing each survey and $50 if you choose to participate in the interview (up to $100 total).
You will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the course, indicating 20 hours of coursework
This course is considered a specialty track in South Carolina

Application process:

Please complete the information below by Friday, March 13th
You will receive notice of your acceptance by Monday, March 30th
To accept your seat in the course, you will be required to complete a pre-course survey.
The training will begin the week of April 13th.
