This training is conducted entirely in Spanish and is designed to provide Community Health Workers with valuable information and resources related to perinatal health, with a focus on strengthening the knowledge and skills needed to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate support to Latino and Hispanic families and communities.
We are pleased to open this virtual training to Community Health Workers across South Carolina and beyond.
Through six educational sessions (20 hours total), participants will explore topics related to pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, preconception health, birth outcomes, child development, perinatal Community Health Worker practices, and more. Participants can earn up to 20 CHW Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by completing the full training. CEUs will be awarded based on the number of training hours completed.
