SPEAKERS
Beth Thomas, PharmD, RPh
Dr. Thomas is the Texas/New Mexico Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics. Beth has 17+ years of experience as a licensed pharmacist across various therapeutic areas such as primary care, endocrinology, and women’s health. Previous practice settings include community pharmacy, hospital outpatient, managed care, and the medical device industry. Aware of significant racial and ethnic cancer disparities in the U.S., she is committed to supporting providers with unbiased information to help increase cancer screening, where possible, and drive early cancer detection.
Tameka Payne
Tameka brings 27 years of experience in public health leadership, cancer control, and disease prevention across nonprofits, health systems, and cancer diagnostics. As Lead Manager of Health Equity & Access Programs at Exact Sciences (now Abbott) Cancer Diagnostics, she drives initiatives that advance cancer screening, education, and early detection. Previously, she spent 16 years with the American Cancer Society leading cancer control strategies for health systems, community development, and patient programs across the Western United States. She is also a certified Health Literacy Specialist.
Christian Sheppard, CHW
Christian is a certified CHW and Oncology Patient Navigator with almost 20 years of healthcare experience. She works with the Colorectal Cancer Prevention Network at the University of South Carolina. supporting colorectal cancer screening across federally qualified health centers and free clinics in South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Her work centers on patient education, navigation, and advancing health equity through community trust and patient choice.
