The Southeastern CHW Monthly CoLab!
The goal of CoLab is for Community Health Workers and CHW Allies from across the Southeast to offer support and learn together.
Every month, a CHW will present a case study, and an expert will offer training on a topic of great interest. By attending and completing an evaluation, participants will receive 1 hour of CHW CEU every month.
SCCHWA is partnering with SC AHEC, which is providing registration, platform, and evaluation assistance.
SE CHW CoLab will convene monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at noon EST.

- This session examines the often-overlooked connection between Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)/Domestic Violence (DV) and brain injury, with a focus on equipping Community Health Workers with the knowledge to better serve affected individuals. Participants will explore various types of abuse, identify demographics at increased risk for IPV/DV, and understand how brain injuries can result from such violence. The session also covers common symptoms of brain injury, strategies for working effectively with clients who may be affected, and key IPV/DV resources and hotlines available to support survivors.
